Terms and conditions

1. About us

Devon Airport Transfers provides private hire and pre-booked transfer services across Devon, UK. Bookings made through this website are subject to the terms set out below. By completing a booking you agree to these terms in full.

2. Bookings

  • All bookings are pre-booked, private hire transfers. They are not street hail or on-demand services.
  • A booking is confirmed once full payment has been processed and you have received a confirmation email.
  • You must provide accurate pickup and drop-off details, including a valid postcode and full address. We cannot be held responsible for delays or failed pickups caused by incorrect information.
  • For airport arrivals, you must provide your flight number and scheduled arrival time. We use this to track your actual landing and adjust your pickup time accordingly.

3. Pricing

  • All prices are fixed and quoted in full at the time of booking, inclusive of any applicable surcharges (e.g. late-night, extra stops).
  • There are no hidden fees. The price you see is the price you pay.
  • Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are not subject to VAT (Devon Airport Transfers is not VAT registered).
  • A late-night surcharge applies to pickups between 23:00 and 07:00. This is shown clearly before payment.
  • Additional stops added after booking may incur a supplementary charge. Contact us before your journey to arrange this.

4. Cancellations and refunds

  • Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time. Email us at bookings@devonairporttransfers.co.uk with your booking reference.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup may be non-refundable or subject to a partial charge at our discretion. Contact us as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate you.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your card provider.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances (e.g. severe weather, vehicle breakdown). In such cases a full refund will be issued.

5. Vehicle capacity and luggage

  • You must select a vehicle that can accommodate your passenger and luggage requirements as declared during booking. If you arrive with more luggage or passengers than declared, the driver may be unable to proceed and no refund will be issued.
  • We define "large bags" as check-in-sized luggage (approximately 75 cm in any dimension). "Small bags" means cabin or carry-on sized items.
  • We do not supply child seats. If you are bringing your own, please indicate this during booking so the driver is aware.
  • Passengers are responsible for ensuring their luggage is secure. We accept no liability for damage to or loss of luggage during transit.

6. Conduct

  • Passengers must behave in a reasonable manner. The driver may terminate a journey without refund if any passenger behaves in a threatening, abusive, or unsafe way.
  • No smoking (including e-cigarettes) is permitted in any vehicle.
  • Any damage caused to a vehicle by a passenger will be charged to the lead passenger at cost.

7. Punctuality and delays

  • We aim to be at your pickup point at the agreed time. However, we cannot guarantee punctuality in cases of exceptional traffic, accidents, or other events outside our control.
  • For departures (Devon to airport), we advise booking with sufficient buffer before your flight. We are not responsible for missed flights due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • For arrivals (airport to Devon), we track your flight and aim to have a driver ready approximately 45 minutes after your scheduled landing time to allow for baggage and immigration.

8. Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the price paid for the affected journey. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as missed flights, missed connections, or accommodation costs.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies. Updated terms are posted on this page with a revised date.
